Our first BBQ to support the Red-Cross was a success!
On Friday, August 16th, we held our first BBQ to support a cause that is close to our hearts: the flood crisis in Quebec. Since 2017, our company has been significantly affected by spring floods, which are becoming more and more problematic. This crisis, which seems to be repeating itself every year, affects thousands of homes and people in the province. Our company has seen a bewildering increase in inspection requests to waterproof basements.
Consequently, we decided to support the Canadian Red-Cross, which helps flood victims throughout the year but works even harder during the thaw and floods.
To raise funds and unite everyone, we invited colleagues, friends, families and industry professionals to a free BBQ. Several people were present to eat and spend a nice afternoon. Thanks to everyone's generosity, we raised a total of 800 $ which will be matched by the company to double our impact! A total of 1,600$ will help support Red-Cross's efforts.
A big THANK YOU to all those who were present and who contributed generously. This group effort is appreciated. We will continue to support the Red-Cross financially and with physical support when needed, such as when filling sandbags.
