Challenge

The client's concrete block wall foundation was bowing inwards because of hydrostatic pressure. Water infiltration coming in from the small cracks on the foundation wall was also caused by the hydrostatic pressure. She was losing valuable living area because of the water coming in and she was concerned about the structure of her house.

Solution

We addressed the problem with the cement block foundation wall by first installing our PowerBrace system on the wall. With time, and during the dry season, the walls can be straightened without having to excavate on the outside. Next, we addressed the water problem coming from the cement block wall and the floor, by installing our ThermalDry Wall System on the walls. Our ThermalDry Wall System returns more than 90% of the heat back towards the house and diverts the moisture and water behind the WaterGuard. Finally, we installed the WaterGuard to fully protect that part of the basement against any future water problems.
