Installation of a coating to eliminate humidity in a crawl space in Kirkland, Qc
Challenge
Our client who lives in Kirkland, Qc had an earthen crawl space that was very wet. Moisture from the crawl space spreads to upper floors and sometimes creates a foul odor.
He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to install a vapor barrier in his crawl space in order to regain the comfort of his home and use the space as storage.
Solution
Our solution was to install our drainage membrane as well as our CleanSpace coating to lock in moisture and make the crawl space dry, clear and clean.
Our CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane is a membrane that insulates the house from the earth. Made from a 20-mil thick polyethylene, this rugged product is specifically designed to block water vapor and allows moisture levels to be significantly lowered to reduce and eliminate mold growth, decay wood and organic materials and the presence of insects.
