Challenge

This house in Montreal needed a full renovation of its crawl space. Actually it all started when Mrs. Diana noticed a very bad smell coming from her crawl space and when he checked this area, she saw some water leaking through the walls, severe coldness in the place, and some mold growing on the wooden areas, and so she realized he needed a complete repair of his crawl space, that was affecting the health his entire house.

Solution

Our specialist, went to check this area, and recommended the installation of a drainage membrane and a CleanSpace vapor barrier. The drainage membrane creates a drainage space below the cleanspace to direct surface water to the customer's sump pump system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick coating that acts as a vapor barrier. It insulates the floor of the house by blocking out moisture.

With this solution, Mrs. Wilberg will have a much less humid house and a dry crawl space.

Due to long periods of heavy rain or snow, groundwater can seep into the crawl space from the dirt floor, and ruin the place

This old sump pump was very old, rusty and did not function properly, and people always need to check whether their sump pump is good enough.

If a plumbing failure occurs, this system will drain the water beneath your vapor barrier, preventing it from collecting in the space.
