Challenge

The encapsulation of your crawl space is a wise renovation choice for the whole house. If you feel the walls are cold, the air is humid and you see water seepage, our waterproofing specialists can help you solve these problems. That's what we did for one of our clients in Laval,Qc.

Solution

Our team recommended a complete solution including the following: an interior drain system installed on the footing of the foundation. This system intercepts water in the soil and foundation and redirects water to a sump pump in the SuperSump liner. We have eliminated the traces of mold thanks to MoldX which is a product that is a neutralizer. The walls have been coated with the CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane, which blocks water vapor and redirects it to the drain. Finally, to keep the humidity level at 55% or lower, we have installed our SaniDry CX dehumidifier and air purifier that keeps the air dry and the environment healthy. This space can now be conveniently and safely used. We are happy to have been able to carry out this project!

We laid the drainage membrane on the dirt floor to drain the water to the TripleSafe sump pump.

We laid the CleanSpace liner over the 20mm membrane.It blocks moisture from the earthen floor. SmartJack pillars will reinforce the structure of the house. They are adjustable to allow the floor to straighten over time.
