A poorly insulated crawl space in Brownsburg-Chatham

Challenge

Out of sight, out of mind. But out of sight doesn’t necessarily mean that excess moisture and poor air quality in your crawl space isn’t hurting you.

Excess moisture supports the growth of mold, dust mites, insects, and other pests.

It also may cause structural damage to your home’s wood framing and degrades some forms of insulation, fiberglass in particular.

So when Mr. Olivier  started to realize the depth of his crawl space problems, he started looking for companies that deal with such issues and this is when he found our profile on the internet.

When we received the call from our client, we informed him that we offer free inspection, and on that day we defined his crawl space problems and suggested our fast and efficient solutions to turn this damp place into a healthy area.

Solution

We started by installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier to eliminate moisture.

This membrane is made of a 20-mil 7-ply sandwich with high and low-density polyethylene and polyester-cord reinforcement.

Then we installed another insulation membrane called SilverGlo. Our SilverGlo panel reflects also heat for enhanced energy efficiency and is ideal for insulating basement and crawl space walls because of its excellent thermal properties and exceptional durability.

Once we installed our products, all of our client’s problems got solved and the floor looked also very nice and sturdy
