A crawl space that needed to be encapsulated in Val-Des-Monts, Qc

Challenge

Challenge: Mrs. Custeau had several problems in her crawl space. Her crawl space was damp and very poorly insulated. The floor exposed in the crawl space which made the place very dirty. In addition, it  was gradually sagging and needed support.

Solution

Solution: Mrs. Custeau contacted Systèmes Sous-sols Qc and we were able to do a complete repair of her crawl space. First, our team installed SilverGlo Insulation Boards on the foundation walls to seal the air out of the house. Next, we applied urethane foam in vulnerable air infiltration corners to further insulate the crawl space. Then, we installed a drainage membrane and a CleanSpace to insulate the house from the earth and make the crawl space cleaner. Finally, we installed SmartJacks to support the sagging house floor.
