The wrong way to isolate the crawl space

Beginning of work
The soil had to be removed from the area in which the pillar needs to be sunk. To do this, the specialists must break the cement in the basement and dig the earth to get to the footing of the foundation.

End of work
Once the pillar had been driven down to the bedrock, the weight of the house had been transferred through the support pillar, in order to lift the foundation and stabilize the house permanently.
