Photo Album: Waterproofing a Crawl Space in Saint-Armand, Qc
As you read in this client's case study, we waterproofed and encapsulated a crawl space in Saint-Armand to eliminate sources of water and moisture infiltration.
Several steps are needed to repair a crawl space properly. Our team of experts are able to analyze the problems in-depth to find sources of water and moisture infiltration. Our foremen and installers will do the job efficiently.
Below are the pictures of this project, if you are experiencing any of the problems in the photos in your crawlspace, contact us today for a free evaluation.
Crawl Space During Inspection
Our experts do an in-depth inspection to properly analyze the moisture sources in this high vacuum.
Crawl Space in a Bad State
If your crawl space looks like this, it's clearly problematic. Mud should not be in your house.
Trench Dug Out for the Drain
In order to install the crawl space drain, our team digs a trench. The amount of water present in the earth under this house is extremely high which explains the problem a lot.
EZflow Drain
The EZflow crawl space drain is made of expanded polystyrene agglomerates designed to create flow channels that increase the empty space to provide an improved water flow rate of 30%.
Installation of the Drainage Membrane
The CleanSpace drainage mat is a pressed polyethylene membrane that allows water to flow to the pump.
Old Sump Pump
A sump hole in this crawl space is left uncovered, allowing water to flow in and out inefficiently. In addition, the water vapors are released and humidify the space.
SmartSump Pump
Instead of an open and inefficient well, we installed our SmartSump system which contains a perforated receptacle, a reliable pump, an alarm system, a pump stand, a check valve, a hermetic lid and a drain in the ground.
Vapor Barrier Membrane
To prevent water vapor from escaping into the air and humidifying the basement, we install the CleanSpace membrane. It is thick and ultraresistant.
Encapsulated Crawl Space
Once the work is done, here is what your crawl space will look like. You can enter without problems and even store seasonal items.
