One problem that arises in crawl spaces and basements is dampness. In order to keep water out, you need a drainage system installed such as the one we executed in our client’s house in L’ille Perrot.
When our specialist Jorge inspected the space, he conducted a full analysis and suggested a solution consisting of a CleanSpace crawl space mat, the CleanSpace vapor barrier, and the SmartSump small crawl space pump.
1- Crawl space in a bad condition-High Moisture, Rodent infestation, Damaged sub-Floor
When moisture develops, it paves the way for mold and rot to develop in the insulation or wooden beams in your crawl space. This rot and mold releases mycotoxins that then seep through your floorboards and into your home.
Damaged Sub-floor
Moisture that accumulates consistently can easily seep through the ceiling of the crawl space and cause problems with your sub-flooring. Not only can this begin to warp home’s layer of surface flooring, but sub-flooring is also quite a hassle to repair or replace.
3- Moisture problems can also cause issues for the foundation level of your home
The wooden beams that hold up your home’s structure can be damaged by consistent exposure to high levels of moisture, condensation, or humidity.
Smartsump pump installed
This pump is a reliable pumping system designed to keep the crawl space dry.
How the SmartSump works
The SmartSump has a unique sump pump cover design, so water from a plumbing leak fills an alarm pocket on the lid first; sounding a WaterWatch alarm that will let you know there is a plumbing leak.
Afterwards we install the CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane
This membrane blocks the water vapor and redirects it to the drainage system. This ultra-resistant membrane contains an antibacterial that actively helps to reduce the spread of bacteria and mold.
