Photo Album: Heat loss problem in the crawl space in Marieville, Qc
Mr. Bruno had realized for several years that there seemed to be an air leak in his house. He suspected it when he saw the electricity bills. He didn't know why, but he knew it wasn't a good sign. So he contacted our company.
The solution was quick and easy; we have insulated our client’s crawl space with our CleanSpace product. To also solve the detected mold problem, we installed the SmartDrain to protect the space against flooding.
A non isolated crawl space
It is a very bad idea to have an earthen, ventilated, or unconditioned concrete crawl space under a house.
Uncovered crawl space
Humid environments are unhealthy and destructive; a place where mold grows and spreads producing millions of wind-borne spores, although only a few are poisonous. Heating and air conditioning costs are higher, especially if you have an earthen, ventilated crawl space.
A ventilated crawl space
The soil has a very high humidity level, and this water vapor easily travels through the crawl space and then up into the house.
Wet and dirty crawl space
Insects and other creatures love damp places and wet materials. Moist environments cause rotting and decomposition, which can cause structural damage.
After installing our CleanSpace
The CleanSpace membrane is a vapor barrier that blocks water infiltrations and vapors to redirect them to the interior drainage system. The membrane is ultra-resistant and contains a non-toxic antibacterial that blocks the proliferation of bacteria.
Complete installation of the SmartDrain
The SmartDrain is made especially for crawl spaces which prevents the accumulation of water. This system also includes an alarm to alert you when there is a flood.
