Photo Album: Support piles in a crawl space in Laval,Qc
The problem: This Laval client had a structural problem in her crawl space. These support beams were not adequate so there was a sag at the ceiling of the crawl space.
Solution: Following inspection by our system design specialist Jerry, he suggested installing piles to support the structure we call SmartJacks. They are very sturdy and we can adjust them to be the right height for your crawl space.
Smartjack
Here is what a SmartJack looks like after installation. It helps support the crawl space structure.
Photo before work started
We start by digging a hole that we call the Influence Bubble. This one is 2x2 feet, it will serve to reduce the pressure on the pillars so that the weight is easier to bear and also to help the SmartJacks to support the structure.

Difference between pillars
Here you see the difference between a SmartJack and a normal support pillar. Original pillars are generally not a suitable long-term solution, as they are often made of good or concrete which weakens over time.
