Photo Album: Crawl space encapsulation in MONT-TREMBLANT, Qc
Water infiltration in the crawl space of Mr. Batah's house, an earthen floor that gives off moisture, and a non-functional pedestal pump.
The solution
- Install a new sump pump system, add a vapor barrier on the earthen floor, and a dehumidifier.
We removed the old pump in order to install our SmartSump sump pump system. We have covered the earthen floor with a drainage membrane that will be able to direct water to the SmartSump and add some insulation value. Next, we added a CleanSpace vapor barrier coating on top of the drainage membrane to insulate the earthen floor of the house and block moisture from the floor. Finally, we installed our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity level.

A mud floor causes a lot of humidity in a crawl space. So, it is important to install a quality vapor barrier in order to block this moisture.
CleanSpace Drainage and Coating Membrane
Our experts install the drainage membrane first and over the CleanSpace coating. This will direct the water to the SmartSump and block moisture from the earthen soil.
