Photo Album: Stabilization of cracked foundation walls in Chénéville, Qc
Mr. Lalonde contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Qc, because he saw that his foundation walls had cracked. The cracks were horizontal and stair-like . He also noticed that one of the walls was curved towards the interior of the basement.
The solution was to stabilize the failing foundation walls with our PowerBrace. They also allow a potential straightening of the walls over time.
Cracked foundation wall
The foundation wall was badly damaged. First of all we can notice the crack in the shape of stair steps which joins a long horizontal crack that separates the wall in two. The lower part of the walls is inclined towards the interior of the basement. If nothing is done the wall may collapse.

Power Brace Solution
To hold and stabilize the walls, our team installed the PowerBrace beams in a few places on the walls. They stabilize the wall and can potentially straighten it over time

Possible straightening of the walls!
Depending on the condition of the foundation walls, the walls may be straightened slightly over time.
