Photo Album: This basement in Montreal was completely waterproofed.
Mrs. Maisan wanted to benefit from her basement but it was impossible due to water infiltration and humidity
After finding our company, she contacted us and asked for our free inspection. And after the inspection, our foreman informed her that she needed to waterproof the entire area, and it will save her money, time and headache.
Furthermore our specialist recommended the installation of the’ WaterGuard’ our inner French drain system; a Strong SuperSump pump, and she also needed to seal the cracks to stop the water coming from inside the walls.
Below you can find more details about the installation:
A wet basement in Montreal
Water presence is very bad, and the area will stay always humid as well.
Sealing the wall cracks
We start by sealing the crack with a high-viscosity polyurethane polymer. This gets deep in the cracks to form a durable, flexible seal.
To keep your foundation walls looking great, we overlay your sealed wall crack with a polyurethane sealant. Light gray in color, it gives the repair a professional, finished appearance.
State of the basement
The basement was so humid and filled with mold.
Digging for the 'WaterGuard 'Indoor Drain
Our team has removed about 6"-8" of concrete floor in order to properly place the WaterGuard in the sub-floor and at the top the footer.
Installation process
Weep holes also were drilled into the bottom of the walls to allow seeping or built-up water to flow into the WaterGuard system.
WaterGuard installated
After excavating the floor, the WaterGuard drainage system is being placed in the sub-floor.
SuperSump pump installed
This pump is one of the most efficient pumps in the market.
