Photo Album: Crawl space encapsulation in Val-Des-Monts, Qc

We received a call from a, Qc customer who lives in Val-Des-Monts, telling us about her crawl space that needed to be inspected. Our specialist went out there to find a large amount of mold and high humidity. Following our client’s approval, we encapsulated this crawl space by installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier and an antimicrobial ingredient that is also present in the vapor barrier to prevent bacteria from reproducing. Below you can find the installation process.

As you can see in the picture, the amount of dirt is huge and it needs to be cleaned and encapsulated.

All severely warped wood, rotting wood and wood that has developed mold/mildew problems will need to be replaced if this will continue.

Installation of the Drainage mat

A stamped polyethylene membrane is installed under the CleanSpace coating and will allow water to flow to the sump pump.

The CleanSpace coating is installed and then sealed to separate the house from the ground. An antimicrobial ingredient is present in the vapor barrier to prevent bacteria from reproducing.
