Basement Waterproofing in Saint-Hippolyte

Challenge

Clients challenge was that her house was built on a rock. Within the first year they found out that this meant they would continually encounter a problem come springtime. During the thawing season and heavy rain during the summer, they would have water in their basement. They never got the chance to enjoy the extra space in their basement without the fear of water damage to their personal belongings.

Solution

One of her interior support walls was damaged from the water infiltration, so the first thing we did was make four custom cement bases to install our four SmartJacks. We then removed the old rotten support wall and added our WaterGuard along the base of the rock and her rear foundation wall and towards the SuperSump and our battery back-up system called the Ultra-Sump. In additional, we covered the rock with Delta MS to divert the water towards the WaterGuard.

Cast in footings and SmartJacks, installed to be able to support the floor above , and remove the old supporting wall which had rotted.

Installation of WaterGuard

SuperSump, and the battery operated UltraSump, installed, ready to pump out the water that comes from the WaterGuard, and from the hydrostatic pressure.
