Challenge

Mr.Richard  had water infiltration in his basement every time it rains. A puddle of water was forming in his basement making it wet. Bad odors were also developing, giving it a musty feeling.

To solve this problem, Richard contacted various contractors in order to offer him a solution. Systèmes Sous-sol Québec was the only contractor that has offered him a solution which does not require an excavation. Drains are placed inside to collect the water that infiltrates.

Solution

After making an appointment with one of our specialists, a solution was proposed to him that consists of the installation of WaterGuard drain on the entire internal perimeter of the basement. This way, the water is directly collected before it seeps into the basement. This solution offers many advantages because it does not clog due to mud deposits compared to conventional French drains.

In order to evacuate the recovered water, a SuperSump sump pump system is also installed. It has a cast iron primary pump with another battery powered pump.

Our evacuation systems are also innovative, an Iceguard outlet is ideal during the winter. It is beneficial in a way that frost will not disturb the evacuation of accumulated water in the basement.

Thanks to these solutions, our client benefits from a basement that is protected against water damages.
