Challenge

Our client, residing in Saint-Liboire, contacted us with concerns about his basement. He was a bit frustrated as he had recently redone his French drain, but water continued to seep into his house. Despite its popularity, the French drain can have certain limitations. It can get clogged due to the accumulation of soil inside. Besides, its maintenance is costly and time-consuming, which requires excavation. Jorge suggested installing our WaterGuard interior drainage system as a permanent solution to the water infiltration problem.

Solution

We installed the WaterGuard interior drainage system around the perimeter of the basement, and connected it to our revolutionary SuperSump sump pump. To divert the absorbed water away from the house, we installed a discharge line.

The interior drain is cost-effective, typically installed in two days at most, and does not require excavation work. The WaterGuard pipes have a 3/8-inch protruding flange to channel water from the walls directly into the system. Additionally, the WaterGuard system features a series of openings for easy access to the drains for cleaning, inspection, or repairs.

To divert the absorbed water away from the house, we installed a discharge line. Finally, to prevent the risk of flooding in case the discharge line freezes, we placed within, our patented IceGuard system.
