Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Our client moves into a dry basement in Sainte-Thérèse
As you may have read in this client's case study, we have completed a waterproofing and dehumidification project in this client's future home. If it's worth it to own, it's worth it to solve a water problem to have more usable space in the house. We are pleased to have installed our WaterGuard Drain System and our ultra-powerful SaniDry Upright XP Dehumidifier.
Photo taken during the inspection
This client bought this house in Sainte-Thérèse which was having a lot of water infiltration, especially during heavy rains. He had to destroy part of the walls to find out where the problem was coming from and then contacted us so that our specialist could recommend the best solution.
TrenchDrain
The TrenchDrain floor drain is specially designed to be installed under the staircase, door or at the edge of an outdoor area through which water tends to enter.
Generic dehumidifier in store
Store-bought dehumidifiers are not the most efficient because they are not specifically designed for basement space. They usually have a tank of 50-70 pints the equivalent of 20L. SaniDry dehumidifiers can capture up to 100 pints of water per day, approximately 47 liters of water and this amount of water is automatically discharged to the sump pump system.
Post-installation of the system
Once installed, the drain is covered with concrete. The soil is now ready to be finished and is no longer likely to be damaged by water.
Installing the WaterGuard.
The WaterGuard drain is installed on the base of the foundation on a bed of rocks that filter and slow down the flow of water. The WateGuard is not likely to get clogged!
Waterproofing work done
We installed our WaterGuard Internal Drain on the perimeter of this basement so that all the water that infiltrates through the floor can be intercepted and redirected to the sump pump system. The water will be evacuated outside of the foundations.
