Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water infiltration problems in Saint-Anicet, Qc
Our client from St-Anicet started having water infiltration problems that were damaging her entire walls and area, even though she had already a pedestal sump pump installed in the basement.
After asking for our help, we have informed her that this problem is very common and there is no need to rebuild the place. There are alternative solutions that will help in solving this problem once and for all.
Our specialist Jerry therefore recommended the installation of the WaterGuard internal drain to intercept and redirect water infiltration, the SuperSump pump to pump water to the outside. IceGuard and LawnScape discharge hose accessories have been installed to evacuate water in freezing temperatures and discreetly away from home.
Old sump pump used in Saint-Anicet
The old sump pump was not efficient and since it doesn’t have a lid, it allowed all the moisture to come into the house.
Used Basement
This basement was used, but brought in water. Our customer was not able to install the furniture properly.
Failure to isolate the basement
Our client was trying to isolate the area by using a Fiber Glass membrane which is not recommended at all.
WaterGuard installation
We dig a trench a few inches, to lay our inner drain the "WaterGuard" under the slab and installed a waterproofing membrane that lays on the wall of the foundation and directs the water to the WaterGuard .
This is the final photo of the WaterGuard installation
The Waterguard was adapted with the addition of a waterproofing membrane to direct the water from the walls to it and to cope with the problem of the slab that was originally installed.
