Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Fixing Water leakage in Sainte-Anne-Des-Plaines, Qc
This basement in Sainte-Anne-Des-Plaines, was suffering from groundwater leaks, where water was seeping throughout the floors and foundation in heavy rain periods.
After our free examination, we gave our client an idea about our products and he decided to install and waterproof the place.
As a start we installed an interior drain’ the WaterGuard’ to drain all the water from the walls and floors, then a sump pump was installed ‘ the Supersump pump’ which is a top-rated 1/3 HP Zoeller cast iron pumps that offers reliability and high-volume pumping.
And finally an IceGuard system was inserted. The IceGuard system allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason
Old sump pump with no lid
Old pedestal pumps do not have a lid; unfortunately all the bacteria and moisture will spread into the area and will reach the house.

This picture shows clearly the water leakage.
Efflorescence on the floors
Efflorescence is a white or sometimes grayish ash that you can see on the walls or the floors. Sometimes it sparkles. Efflorescence is caused by salt deposits left behind by evaporating water.
Wet Basement walls
Our client tried to fix them by injecting materials, which he thought would stop water from seeping in. Eventually nothing stopped water leakage until our company interfered.
Beginning of installation of our interior drainage system
The WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system has a patented profile that includes a wall flange with spacers for collecting wall seepage, channel holes that allow ground water to enter the drain line, and a large-diameter channel that can’t crush or kink like standard plastic drain tile can.
Installation of the SuperSump pump system
We connect the SuperSump to our WaterGuard system as you can see here.
Our SuperSump pump is a top-rated 1/3 HP Zoeller cast iron pumps that offers reliability and high-volume pumping.
The exquisiteness of our WaterGuard system
The drainage channel is hidden beneath a layer of concrete. Only the top edge of the wall flange is visible, so you'll hardly know it's there.
Installing an anti-freeze system for sump pump discharge lines
The patented design of the IceGuard automatically allows water to escape through its perforations. This unique feature provides an exit when pipe terminations are blocked, usually by ice or snow.
Discharge line installed outside the basement
The discharge line is used along with the sump pump to carry water from the pump to the outside of the house.
