Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Foundations stabilized in Kirkland with PushPiers
We stabilized a failed foundation of a Kirkland home. When the client contacted us to ask for our expertise, he told us that he was seeing very visible cracks in the foundation walls and the floor and that he was seeing efflorescence on the floor.
Efflorescence is a phenomenon caused by moisture that condenses on porous materials. In the case of this client, this is a problem that can be solved by closing the cracks through foundation repair.
So we installed 9 support piles to stabilize the foundation that moved because of ground movements.
Steel support pillars
The steel support pillars are driven in a stable soil layer like the parent rock. The supporting pillars bring the foundation back to its original position.
Michel at work
Michel is one of our best foremen. He works hard to do quality work which you will be satisfied.
When to use the support pillars
Support pillars are the best option when earth conditions are unknown. They make it possible to raise the foundation towards its initial position, to minimize the disturbances during the installation which is done quickly, and that solves the problem once and for all.
EZFlow external drain
The EZFlow drain is specially designed to be installed in mud and wet earth. It filters the water and redirects it, unlike the French drain that hangs.
Inspection of the structure of the chimney
The foundation wall where the chimney is located is affected by soil movement and water infiltration. The foundation is in bad condition.
Installation of pillars
We can install the support pillars even if your water table is high.
Excavation before installation
For this client we have carried out the installation of the support pillars from the outside and had to excavate, but it is possible to do it from the inside too.
The team in action
We loved the pictures of this project. Our teams work very hard.
