Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Installing an interior drainage system in Sherbrooke, Qc
Here is another basement in Sherbrooke that was waterproofed by our company.
We have installed our interior drainage system, ’the Waterguard’ that will not damage your place such as the exterior drainage system, and will capture all the water coming in through the walls and the floors of the basement.
Wetness and rotten wood
Moisture exposure to wood will cause wood to rot. When the moisture content of the wood goes beyond 30% wood decay spores will find their way to the surface of the wood.
Old sump pump
This sump was not efficient and water kept coming in especially during heavy rain season.
Rust stain inside the basement
Rust is found on metal surfaces, such as iron or steel, and is a reddish flaky layer of iron oxide. It is formed by oxidation and is evidence of past or present moisture exposure.
Beginning of the installation
Here is the first step to WaterGuard installation. The team must dig out along the inside perimeter of the foundation.
Inside perimeter dug out
The inside perimeter foundation is completely dug out and the WaterGuard is now laid in the trench along the inside perimeter of the foundation.
Last step for the installation
Once the WaterGuard is installed, concrete is poured to refill the top of the trench and keep the basement looking good.
This system does not clog
Our system is installed on the foundation footing out of the mud and dirt and sits on top of stone bedding, adding another "clean" layer to prevent clogging.
