Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in Saint-Constant
Wanting to finish his basement, our client found traces of water infiltration and some damages behind the walls. After calling his insurance company to fix those damages, they required him to fix the source of the problem first.
He looked for a reliable company that has a good record in waterproofing basements and found us.
We recommended the installation of our WaterGuard internal drain which is the best solution to an underground water seepage. Wanting to work within the client's budget, we only installed the WaterGuard where it was needed and connected it to the client's existing sump pump.
The client has enjoyed his dry basement for many years after.
Installing an internal drain in Saint-Constant
The WaterGuard is suually installed above the footing, which makes it completely impervious to clogging. In this case, this basement had probably previously been a crawl space and was dug to a basement depth later. This is why the slab is at the same level as the footing. In such cases, we install the WaterGuard next to the footing and add a membrane to let the water run towards the trench. We still offer a lifetime warranty on our installation.
Trench along the basement perimeter
To install an internal drain, a trench of about 6 inches wide needs to be dug.
Finished installation of an internal drain
Here is the finished installation of the WaterGuard in our client's house in Saint-Constant. The cement is still dry in this picture, and we recommend keeping it dry by sprinkling water for about a month to avoid any small cracking in the cement.
Keeping our client's house clean
We do our best to keep our work area and the client's house as tidy as possible.
