The solution
- Install a sump pump system
- Install a WaterGuard interior drain.
First, a hole was dug to install our SuperSump sump pump system. It features a powerful ⅓ HP Zoeller cast iron sump pump capable of pumping 8,300 gallons of water per hour out of your basement to a height of 8 feet. Then a trench is dug all along the foundation walls to reach the foundation footing and the WaterGuard is laid in it. It collects water from the walls and the floor.
With this solution, Ms. Lauzon now has a permanently dry basement.

Installing the WaterGuard interior foundation drain
A trench is dug to reach the footing and deposit the WaterGuard there.
WaterGuard installed
The WaterGuard interior drain is placed on the footing. This way, water from the walls and floor is directed to the SmartSump sump pump system.
Cover the WaterGuard with concrete
Once the WaterGuard interior drain is installed, concrete is poured to give a finished appearance.
SuperSump Interior Drain & Sump Pump System
The interior drain is connected to our SuperSump sump pump system. In this way, the water collected by the drain is directed into the SuperSump to be expelled outside.
Discharge line
Water from our sump pump system is forced away from the foundation walls of the house. Our discharge line is also hidden underground, only the outlet of the pipe is visible.
