Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard and CleanSpace systems for the rescue
Our client Jean was experiencing big issues in his basement. Despite having a sump pump, water was seeping into his basement, making it more damp and moldy.
We installed our WaterGuard interior drain system to channel all the infiltrated water. Additionally, our Cleanspace system further reinforced the basement's waterproofing.
Mr. Jean noticed the difference immediately. Now, he can proceed with finishing his basement without any concerns.
Drainage Matting
This matting is simultaneously installed with the WaterGuard drainage system. The dimpled surface helps carry water to the perimeter drainage.
Visible Efflorescence
This is a clear sign of excessive humidity and water infiltration, originating from rain water and melting ice.
WaterGuard joining forces with CleanSpace
The WaterGuard system is installed on the foundation footing, away from mud and dirt. It also sits on a bed of stone, adding a clean layer to prevent clogging. Additionally, the ⅜-inch protruding lip collects water, not dirt.
The white CleanSpace coating protects the basement from condensation that forms when warm air comes into contact with cool surfaces. This coating also prevents groundwater infiltration from evaporating into the air, as well as mold growth.
Sump Pump requiring help
The existing drainage pipe seems clogged. That's because infiltrated water is seeping into the basement, instead of filling the sump pit.
Our work is done!
The basement witnessed a radical change. There are no issues left. Our client can peacefully finish his basement.
The Basement during our inspection
As a first glance, the water is infiltrating everywhere. and there is excess humidity. The dehumidifier is not being able to be performant anymore. This is a sign of a serious issue.
