Challenge

This client w has contacted us to want to know more about available solutions for his problems of foundations. Actually the foundation of his house was cracked in several places and the client noticed ground movements several locations. So he felt that his home was in danger and was not stable.

We sent our specialist who checked his place in order to find out the source of the problem.

Solution

To solve his problems, we encapsulated his crawl space with our CleanSpace coating. It acts as a vapor barrier, is very strong and blocks moisture from the earthen floor. Then, we installed our SmartJack pillars and galvanized steel beams. They will reinforce and stabilize the structure of the house. We can also tighten the SmartJacks over time to slightly straighten the sagging floor.

The crawl space had several issues such as damp, mold, rotting organic materials, and bent beams.

Wooden pillars and beams supporting your home are a bad idea. With the presence of moisture, they rot, weaken, and the beams can get cracked, bent and even get broken.

We encapsulated the crawl space by laying our CleanSpace liner over the dirt floor. Then, to reinforce the structure of the house, we installed our SmartJack pillars which support our beams.
