Over time, Mr. Moran noticed a high level of humidity in his house. Its wooden floors began to warp and an unpleasant smell of mold was circulating in the house. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec in order to have a permanent and reliable solution!
The problem
Well this is the crawl space. Water infiltration and the lack of insulation made the crawl space very humid. The humidity affected the wooden floor causing it to curl slightly, causing this foul odor and affecting our client's comfort in their home.
The solution
Our experts first insulated the crawl space walls with our SilverGlo insulation panels. Then they laid our drainage mat on the ground to drain the surface water to the SmartSump sump pump system that was in place. Then, they installed our CleanSpace coating designed to block humidity and thus insulate the floor of the house. It also gives a clean and bright appearance to the crawl space. Finally, they added our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier. It filters the air and eliminates moisture.
With this encapsulation solution, Mr. Moran will no longer have a problem with humidity and foul odor. It now has a dry crawl space!
