Problem • High humidity in the crawl space and inside our client’s house • Joists and support pillars in the crawl space were damaged due to high humidity level • Sagging of the main floor Solution Encapsulation of the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage membrane and our vapor barrier then the installation of additional SmartJack support pillars to reinforce the structure of the house.

Weak and inadequate supporting pillars

The pillars that support the rim joists of the main floor are unstable brick columns, with wooden planks. The weight of the house is not well supported and uneven, therefore the floor has sagged in some places.

CleanSpace Vapor Barrier

We installed our 20mm thick CleanSpace vapor barrier, it blocks moisture from the earthen floor and foundation walls. It gives a clear appearance to the crawl space.

Added SmartJack support pillars

We have added support beams and SmartJack pillars to reinforce the structure of the house and to proportionally support the weight of the house. SmartJacks are adjustable allowing the floor and can be straightened over time.
