Stabilizing a foundation in SAINT-CONSTANT, Qc

Challenge

Mr. Raymond contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Qc because he had an urgent problem and needed to stabilize one of the foundation walls. The concrete block foundation wall had a long horizontal crack one inch wide in the middle of the wall and the wall was dangerously curved. He was afraid that his wall will fall.

Solution

To solve our client's problem, our experts had put a wall anchoring system on the cracked wall. Plates were put on the inside wall and on the outside ground a few feet from the wall and were connected by a galvanized steel rod. Once the anchors are tight, they hold the wall securely in its current position. The anchors can be tightened allowing the wall to be straightened.

With this situation, Mr. Raymond had nothing more to fear, his wall is stabilized and will not fall.
