Foundation Repair Photo Album: Stabilizing a foundation in La Conception, Qc

Problem Mr. Lincourt wanted to buy a house in La conception and is needed to have its block foundation walls checked before he buys it. Actually he founda that one of the walls were sloping inward into the basement and some blocks were also pushed inward due to external ground pressure. Solution To stabilize and reinforce these problematic walls, our team of experts installed our galvanized steel PowerBrace beams on the foundation walls. Attached to the floor and joists, the walls got stabilized. There is a clamping device on the PowerBraces to tighten them and slightly straighten the walls over time to return them to their original position.

Blocks pushed into the basement

Several blocks from the foundation walls were pushed into the basement. External ground pressure was the cause. If the walls are not reinforced, the blocks may fall and the walls will continue to tilt inwards.

Several cracks in the shape of stair steps were on the walls. You could measure some blocks that came off 1" from the walls
