Having lived there for only 2 years, the owners of this beautiful house woke up one day with a large flood in their basement after a big rain storm during that night in November.
We had previously inspected that basement and recommended the previous owner to fix it, but unfortunately we never got the go ahead on the work.
As they used their basement space fully, as a gym and storage space, and the basement being fully finished with carpets and a gyprock wall, the damages the owners suffered from were extensive.
They needed to fix their basement fully, and fix it for good.
Once our specialist was on the ground, he did a thorough inspection on the inside of the basement and outside of the house. He then asked the clients all the right questions and built up a full solution to meet their needs.
Since the water came from under the slab, despite having a french drain installed, the specialist recommended an internal footing drain, the WaterGuard, which never clogs and is offered with a lifetime warranty.
The existing sump pump, an open pit with one pump, was replaced as well by a hermetically sealed SuperSump system along with an UltraSump battery backup system attached. This ensured that the clients would have a dry basement, all the time, without being worried in case of a circuit break or a pump that stops working.
