Mr. Brunette contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Qc, as he had moisture problems in his crawl space. The wooden beams and pillars were rotting and weakening and he noticed floor sagging on one side.
To solve his problems, we encapsulated his crawl space with our CleanSpace coating. It acts as a vapor barrier, is very strong and blocks moisture from the earthen floor. Then, we installed our SmartJack pillars and galvanized steel beams. They will reinforce and stabilize the structure of the house. We can also tighten the SmartJacks over time to slightly straighten the sagging floor.
Problem: The client noticed that there was a crack on the outside of his house’s foundation and he wanted to have it fixed. When we introduced ourselves, we told him that the crack had probably gone through the wall and that it needed to be repaired from the inside.
Solution: First of all, we opened the wall in order to see the entire crack and then for the repair we injected polyurethane inside the crack. Then we put CarbonArmor so that the foundation stretches less and the crack does not expand. As for the last step, we have covered the crack with FlexiSpan, so that the crack is nice and well sealed properly.
From now on, this customer can have the peace of mind, because the crack has been repaired and is does no longer present any problem.
The problem: This client who lives in Lachine had an unprotected crawl space that was very humid. She also had a problem with the structure of the ceiling of her crawl space which was not adequate. The support beams she had were not great and this could become dangerous in the long term. That is why she wanted to fix this situation and while researching the web she found our website and requested a free estimate.
The solution: Following the inspection carried out by our certified specialist in crawl space system design, the solution chosen for this project was to encapsulate the entire crawl space with the CleanSpace membrane and to install SmartJacks in order to replace the original supports which were not suitable for this crawl space.
Following our work, this lady from Lachine can now benefit from a well protected and dry crawl space.
