Ms. Perreault had an unisolated crawl space. The humidity was felt all over the house and she got worried about the quality of the air in her home. So she decided to call Systèmes Sous-sol Québec in order to solve her problems once and for all. The solution for our client was to install: - An EZ Flow drainage system - A SuperSump sump pump system. - A drainage membrane - A CleanSpace coating The EZ Flow drainage system has been connected to our SuperSump sump pump system. In this way, the water is directed into the drain and is evacuated by the sump pump. Then, in order to eliminate the humidity, our drainage membrane as well as our CleanSpace coating were installed. The membrane, among other things, allow surface water to flow into the sump pump system and create a thermal cushion. Our CleanSpace insulates the house from the earthen floor and locks in moisture. It also gives a clear and clean appearance to the crawl space. With this solution, Mme Perreaut has got a permanently dry crawl space!

Overview of the crawl space

This crawl space is in the ground and is not insulated. The humidity that is found there rises and is present in the house. This often causes wood floors to be cold.

Unreliable sump pump

Our client had already had up to 3 ”of water in her crawl space. She no longer relied on her sump pump system.

Installing the EZ Flow

Specialists install our EZ Flow drainage system. Soil water enters the drain and is directed to the SusperSump sump pump system.

Our SuperSump sump pump system

Our SuperSump sump pump system has been installed. It includes a ⅓ HP Zoeller sump pump that can pump 8,300 liters of water per hour to a height of 8 feet. With our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity level and filter the air.
