Waterproofing in a basement in Montreal, Qc
There has recently been water infiltration in this basement in Montreal. Stone walls like these are very conducive to water infiltration because of the spaces between the stones. The owner did not have a very efficient drainage system so he contacted Système Sous-sol Québec to waterproof his basement so that it remains dry at all times!
Our solution to waterproof our client's basement:
- A WaterGuard interior drain system. This is a network of conduits that runs along the perimeter of your basement floor, at the base of the foundation walls. This system collects the water and conveys it to the SuperSump sump pump system that we have installed.
- Install our SuperSump sump pump system. It expels the water that comes from the soil and the WaterGuard out and away from the foundation.
To finish it off, our experts installed our panels for EverLast walls. They are designed to resist mold and cannot be damaged by moisture.
With this solution, our client will have nothing to worry about and his basement will be permanently dry.
A wet crawl space in Côte Saint-Luc
This Côte-Saint-Luc customer needed an assessment from our company for a mold-to-crawl problem. When you see traces of mold in the crawl space, this is a sign that you need to dehumidify the space efficiently and permanently. As the crawl space is a space built in a hole in the ground, the water pressurizes and infiltrates through the ground and pores of the concrete.
Our waterproofing solutions solve these problems at the source. The CleanSpace drainage mat and vapor barrier membrane are installed on the floor to prevent water vapor from escaping into the air. We install on the walls the SilverGlo insulation which is an insulation board composed of graphite particles and which is covered with a radiant barrier to preserve the heat inside. It is a product that saves you a lot of energy consumption. Finally, the SaniDry dehumidifier keeps the space at an optimal relative humidity level. It is a system that empties automatically through a water drain pipe.
Water seepage in a basement in Lasalle, Qc
Water infiltration is a problem for many homeowners. Water can drive up under the foundation at the joints between the floor and the wall or through cracks in the walls as well. These situations are often due to a high water table, hydrostatic pressure, and the normal shrinkage of concrete.
This is what happened in this basement in Lasalle, and when we went to check up the area Mr. Neil informed us that it had been this way for years and he tried to fix it many times but it was all in vain.
We informed Mr. Neil then that the best thing to do is to waterproof the entire basement.
The waterproofing consists of the following:
An interior Drain called ‘The WaterGuard’ to capture wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor; a ‘TripleSafe’ sump pump to pump the water out, and finally an ‘IceGuard’ accessory that prevents pipe freezing.
High humidity in a house in Lasalle, Qc
Mr. Moran over time noticed that there was a high level of humidity in his house, his wooden floors began to warp and an unpleasant smell of mold was circulating in the house. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec in order to have a permanent and reliable solution!
The problem
Well this is the crawl space!
- Water infiltration
- Lack of insulation
This made the crawl space very humid. The humidity affected the wooden floor causing it to curl slightly, causing this foul odor and affecting our client's comfort in their home.
The solution
- Insulate the walls of the crawl space with our SilverGlo insulating panels.
- Lay our drainage mat on the ground in order to drain the water from the surface to the SmartSump sump pump system that was in place.
- Install our CleanSpace coating designed to block humidity and thus insulate the floor of the house. It also gives a clean and bright appearance to the crawl space.
- Add our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier. It filters the air and eliminates moisture.
With this encapsulation solution, Mr. Moran will no longer have a problem with humidity and foul odor. It now has a dry crawl space!
Waterproofing a basement in Lasalle, Qc
Our client from Lasalle informed us that she'd been having problems in her basement since the day she moved into the home.
There were cracks in the Foundation that were allowing water to infiltrate the basement space, allowing too much moisture and mold in the basement.
We have solved her problems by installing a WaterGuard interior that will direct the water to the SuperSump pump system.
The SuperSump pump will intercept all water seepage and pushes it away from her house.
Then our CleanSpace was installed on the walls to insulate the ground and block water vapor.
