Insulated and encapsulated crawl space in Baie-d'Urfé

In 2015, a client located in Baie-d'Urfé did business with us to install the TripleSafe sump pump system and to finish the basement with finishing products specially designed for basements.

Three years later, our satisfied customer contacted us again because she was now ready to carry out a crawl space insulation and encapsulation project.

Our specialist, therefore, recommended the installation of SilverGlo insulation panels, which are insulation panels made of graphite particles that increase the value of thermal resistance. This insulation is also covered with a radiant barrier to reflect and preserve the heat towards the interior.

The floor has been encapsulated with the CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane, which is a 7-layer expanded polyethylene coating containing an antibacterial additive to block the growth of mold. This membrane blocks the vapors of water that evaporates into the air and redirects them to a well. We are the experts in crawl space insulation and encapsulation and our products are the most effective for your basement space.

If, like this client, you want to solve your problem once and for all, do not hesitate to contact us!

Basement Waterproofed in Baie-D'Urfe, Qc

Mr. Simon in Baie-D’Urfe knew that he needed to waterproof his basement for it was always getting wet, but he kept postponing this issue, until one day his friend, who was our client, told him about our company and informed him that a wet basement is bad for his family’s health, since water moisture gets into the whole house, allowing mold to grow, in addition, critters, water bugs, termites, and other insects thrive on water leakage.

After contacting our company to get an idea about our products, we have informed him that he can get a free inspection. So our specialist Mr. Michel scheduled a meeting with him and after the examination, he suggested a complete waterproofing system.

The system includes a WaterGuard  interior drain; the WaterGuard will capture water that infiltrates through the floor and foundation walls; a TripleSafe pump that has 3 pump systems and will adjust automatically to meet pumping requirements; a Discharge line to keep the water out and away from the basement.

A waterproofed stairwell in Mercier, QC

When water seeps into a stairwell and you already have a sump pump system in another basement room that is draining water, we can help you fix the problem with an interior waterproofing system.

Our solution: install an internal foundation drain that catches water from the ground under the stairs and on the walls of the staircase and discharges it through a pipe connected to the sump pump a little further.

It is an effective and discreet solution and once the drain is covered, you will not even see it anymore.

Here is a photo during the inspection that contains the annotations of the basement waterproofing specialist and a photo of the result once the system is installed. Once the concrete has dried, you do not notice any difference other than the fact that your basement will be dry!

Major pitting and exterior waterproofing work in Kirkland, QC

Water was seeping into our client’s basement during freeze and thaw cycles.

The land now is sloping towards the wall. And in winter there are puddles caused by the thaw near the foundations.

We went to this place after scheduling a free inspection day and solved our customer’s problem.

As a start, we installed our WaterGuard Indoor Drainage System. The WaterGuard Internal Drain is installed at the joint between the wall and the footing of the foundation and is covered with concrete to blend into the decor.

Then our SuperSump pump system is connected to the WaterGuard. The SuperSump system is a sump pump liner that is unobtrusive and not bulky. You can put your things on it without being afraid that something will fall in it.

Once completed, we have installed the ThermalDry floor system which is an inorganic mat resistant to water and moisture.

Basement waterproofing system in Saint-Isidore-de-Laprairie

What are the characteristics of an efficient interior drainage system?

- It is designed not to clog and to be positioned on the top of the soil.

- It has a 3/8 inch built-in space between the floor and the wall, to drain infiltrations from the wall.

-It does not depend on a filter cloth.

- It has a large drain outlet for the pump

- Do not cause structural damage to the foundation.

Thus, this system is connected to an airtight sump pump whose cover and lid serve as drains that allow the water to be evacuated and prevent the vapors from disengaging and humidifying the air.

The pump is therefore protected and its efficiency is optimized. The alarm system also lets you know if the volume of water exceeds the minimum level that would start the pump. Thus, in the case of a problem, you will be notified before damage occurs and you will be protected by the battery pump system that will protect your basement in the event of a breakdown.
